Playground coming to Nickeloid Park

A playground in Peru is moving. Some of the equipment at Roosevelt School will be installed at Nickeloid Park.

Carrie Holloway, a mother that lives near the park, has organized the donation from the school to the city. Volunteers will be doing the work. It’s happening at no cost to the city.

With the construction of Parkside Middle School, Roosevelt will no longer be used as a school. The district is working on selling the building, but superintendant Mark Cross doesn’t want to say a lot about the deal just yet.
