Route 178 Getting Worked On

If you traveled during the weekend, you may have noticed a sign indicating a road work funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. 

Another one of those projects and signs will be going up in Utica.
Route 178 from Route 6 and north of Interstate 80 is being resurfaced.  The work is scheduled to begin today, weather permitting.  

The 300 thousand dollar project is being done by U-C Paving of Peru.  It’s expected to be completed by June.

Car Break-Ins In Peru

Peru Police are investigating several reports of unlocked cars being broken into yesterday.

Cars were broken into at 2^nd, 5^th, 12^th and Fulton Streets along with Ashland Court.  Some of things stolen were an I-Pod, cash, purses, and jumper cables.
