Major Addition Planned For IVCH

Illinois Valley Community Hospital is doing its part to put contractors and engineers to work.

Hospital officials announced yesterday a plan to add a couple floors onto their east addition to house obstetrics and intensive care units along with space for mechanical systems.  The price tag is fifteen and a half million dollars.

The new OB unit will have 10 rooms, a nursery and surgical suite in about 10 thousand square feet.  The new ICU will have four new rooms larger than the current ICU rooms and will be about five-thousand square feet.
