Utica Board Eliminates Committee Meetings
Posted by wlpo on May 14, 2009
Besides saving taxpayers some cash, village trustees in Utica hope they’ve done something to save themselves some time.
The Utica Village Board last night decided to axe committee meetings and instead have one, committee of the whole meeting on the fourth Tuesday of every month.
One lone committee meeting will save the village cash as well. Under the old setup, each trustee would get 25 dollars a meeting. Some committees like finance could meet two or three times a month. Trustees don’t get per diem.
